How does SDS work?

There are 4 SDS options.

Option 1 is where you get a direct payment from your local authority and you can then use that money to arrange your own support.

Option 2 is where you select the support you want and then the local authority or another service provider arranges it on your behalf.

Option 3 is where the local authority selects and arranges your support it on your behalf.

Option 4 is any combination of the first three options.

It’s important to remember that you can have as much support in choosing between these options and in managing those choices as you want or need.
